From Sept 19^th to Sept 20^th, ERASMUS+ project - GeoServices-4-Sustainablity (GeoS4S) International Forum for Geospatial Education was successful held in our school.

There were about 40 professors from universities spreading in Europe and Asia’s countries joined the conference. Professor Du Qingyun chaired the forum. Vice-president Shu Hongbing extended a warm welcome to participated professors on behalf of Wuhan University. Professor Shahnawaz from University of Salzburg, the chair of GeoS4S, introduced the GeoS4S project and the forum for Geospatial Education.

Professor Du Qingyun gave a report on the International Education in GIScience at Wuhan University. Professor Li Lin and Professor Wan You gave reports on GIS for Intelligent Transportation System and the Smart City, respectively. Professors from VU University of Amsterdam, Chiang Mai University of Thailand, Nanjing Normal University and Xinjiang Institute Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences introduced the study programmers in their institutions. Professors from Peking University and other universities discussed the further development of geospatial education and international education in GIScience. The GeoS4S committee also issued the participating members the certificate. This forum is the last summing-up and publicity conference of the GeoS4S project.
