Digital channel is the digitalizing display for the channel region, managed objects, and management activity. It is also a technological system for channel’s operation procedure, dynamic monitor management, assisted decision services with virtualization, digitization, network, intelligentization and visualization by comprehensively applying remote sensing, telemetering, geographical information system, network, communication, computer, multimedia and so on.

After the continuous study, we created many technology systems including information service standard covered the digital channel, technical manual of inland waterway chart, data collection and database construction of channel and marine mapping, basis platform of electronic channel chart and electronic chart information services, application of navigation project, a port of a chart application platform, berth and navigation system of ship etc.
