On September 5th, professor Wolfgang Kainz, famous international Geographic information systems specialists and president of Geography and regional research department, and many undergraduate students from University of Vienna, Austria, visited the School of Resource and Environmental Science.

Professor Liu yaolin, dean of the SRES, attended the communication meeting and expressed a warm welcome. He introduced the general situation of our school and expressed the wish that we could promote the academic communication and talent training between each other.

Professor Wolfgang Kainz introduced the general situation of Geography and Regional Research Department University of Vienna, and also expressed his hope to enhance communication with each other.

After that, professors from our school did some professional lectures respectively, which involved in environmental remote sensing, Urban expansion and land optimal allocation, the mapping front research subject etc.
