In September 5-12, 14 teachers and students from National Chiao Tung University and National Taiwan University came to visit the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences to do academic communication. The activity consist of discussion and visiting. From September 6th to 8th, the teachers and students from both Taiwan and the School had been discussing about some issues related to environmental science and engineering two days. During the period, professor Huang Zhibin, the former vice-president of National Chiao Tung University, did a report of effluent treatment, and professor Zhang Shumin, who comes from Institute of Environmental Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, shared a report about the hot spot of water treatment chemical research, while the professor Dong Xinxin, the chief editor of Journal of Water Supply: Research and Technology-AQUA and professor of National Chiao Tung University, introduced the information about hot spot of water treatment engineering research. After that, the students from Taiwan and mainland reported their own researches and discuessed the pollution and treatment of water environment for The Three Gorges and East Lake in Wuhan respectively.
