Professors in SRES visited universities and organizations respectively in New Zealand and Australia
Invited by Unitec New Zealand and Macquarie University Australia, four professors in our school named Du Qingyun, Li Lin, Chen Lanzhou, and Ren FU visited universities and organizations respectively in New Zealand and Australia recently.
In New Zealand, they visited Unitec, the cooperator of Sino-New Zealand environmental intelligent computing technology research center, and did many activities including discussing with School of Computer and Creative in UniTec for cooperation, talking with Pamala Jamieson who is the strategy consultant of Auckland Council, visiting another research center NIWA and came to an agreement with specialist from NIWA, UniTec and UOA for the cooperative project of environmental big data.
In Australia, when they visited Macquarie University, they talked with Stella Wang, who is the director of International Exchange Department, Michael Heimlich and Tracy Rushmer, who are the vice directors of School of Science and Engineering, Doctor Ren Yi, who is the director of Department of International Research and Training Partnership. In addition, they visited Environmental Science Lab and did academic communications with prof. Mark Patrick Taylor and Doctor Michael Chang as well as many students in the field of environment and geography. The visiting also decided to carry out the doctoral student joint training project between Wuhan University and Macquarie University.
