摘要:The development of computer network technology promotes the transition from GISystem to GIService[1]. One of the key technologies making this possible is web service technology. Because of its predominant advantages such as encapsulation, platform independence, and loose coupling structure, web service technology has been widely applied in the field of GIS. This paper firstly introduces the conception, architecture, core technologies and standards of web service. It then expatiates on geographic information service based on web service. Lastly, using ASP. NET technology and the Flow-path Network model, this paper establishes a web service instance to simulate surface flow dynamics.
